Climbing in Zillertal
Face to face with the rock. Very close to the pulse of the mountain. Climbing is fascinating. Whoever ventures to climb the mountain vertically will be rewarded with breathtaking views and an onslaught of endorphins. The following via ferrata routes can be found nearby:

Trail running in Tuxertal
Thanks to its altitude and its 350 kilometres of well-signposted paths, it is the perfect place for training, improving and testing your limits. The region is literally not overflowing and offers wonderful challenges and untouched natural landscapes. Your hosts will be happy to recommend routes for experienced mountain runners as well as for beginning trail runners.

Wild water sport
Crystal clear. Ice cold. And an experience that you will never forget. The wild waters of the Tuxertal and the Zillertal will challenge you. When canyoning, venture into the deep gorges or feel the incredible power of the water when rafting. Many outdoor activity companies in the region will take you with them on a wild water adventure. Paragliding & tandem flying
Imagine standing up at the Penken or the Eggalm in the Zillertal. The wind gently brushes past your wing, and then: a short run, lift-off, and suddenly you’re flying. Below you lies the entire Tux Valley. Peaks at eye level. Alpine meadows shrinking into green patterns far beneath you. A tandem flight is not just a holiday idea—it’s an unforgettable experience. If you’re an experienced pilot, launch sites in the region include the Hintertux Glacier, the Sommerbergalm, the Eggalm, and the Penken.

Glacier tour at the Hintertux Glacier
This mountain is so big. And so old. Standing on real glacier ice in the middle of summer in the Zillertal Alps feels almost sacred. From July to September, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, an experienced glacier guide takes you on a guided tour at 3,250 metres above sea level across the Hintertux Glacier. Equipment such as crampons and gaiters is provided free of charge. An impressive moment you shouldn’t miss.
Golf in Zillertal
You don't want to miss out on teeing off a few times during your mountain holidays? Then bring your favourite putter with you. You will love the Zillertal Uderns golf course with its 18-hole championship course, 35 tee boxes and a very professional golf school. In Tyrol there are 20 golf clubs and courses.

Swimming
Our hand is on our heart: the most beautiful place for swimming and lying in the sun is right here at Hotel Eden. Our natural swimming pool with sunbathing lawn, sun terrace and alpine flower garden is your personal swimming paradise on hot summer days. It is also worth a side trip to the Zillertal thermal baths, the Mayrhofen thermal baths or the swimming pool in Zell. You like a more natural setting?
