When you choose our Hotel Eden, you can be sure of one thing: your room rate includes much more than just “good food and a good night’s sleep.” For us, as a true family-run business, this is not only a matter of honour, but a matter close to our hearts. At Eden, you can expect extras you’ll only find here. On this page, we’ve listed everything that is already included in your holiday price. You’ll also find our booking information and answers to frequently asked questions.

Arrival

Your room will be available from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. We will reserve it until 6:00 p.m. If you arrive later, please let us know briefly.

Departure

We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. You may use our wellness area free of charge for the entire day, and you can also enjoy our afternoon buffet at no extra cost.

Booking information

Your booking is valid once it has been confirmed in writing and your deposit has been received. The easiest way is to transfer the amount via EU standard bank transfer to our account at Sparkasse Schwaz/Tux. BIC: SPSCAT22 IBAN: AT75 2051 0005 0050 2075. All prices include all taxes. The local tax of €2.60 per person per day is charged on site.

Family suite

Our family suite can be booked from 3 persons. For lower occupancy, a surcharge of 50% per person per day applies.

Double room for single use

Would you like a double room for yourself? No problem. We charge a surcharge of 50% per day on the double room price.

Dogs / pets

Your four-legged friend is welcome. Please arrange this with us in advance. The cleaning fee is €20 per dog per day. Please understand that dogs are not allowed in the dining room, sauna area, natural swimming pond, or garden.

Children’s discounts

Children stay at reduced rates when sharing a room with 2 full-paying adults: up to 3 years 80%, 4–10 years 50%, 11–15 years 30%. If children have their own room, adult rates apply.

Short stay surcharge

For stays of 1 to 4 nights, we charge €7 per person per day.

Smoking

Our entire hotel is non-smoking. A cozy, heated smoking area is located at the hotel entrance.

Special dietary requirements

If informed in advance, we are happy to prepare your meals according to your needs (allergies, food intolerances). For vegan menus, we charge an additional €15 per person per day.

Travel cancellation insurance

Because not everything always goes as planned, you can easily take out travel cancellation insurance here to be on the safe side.

Cancellation policy

These conditions apply in addition to the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions.
Up to 1 month before arrival: free cancellation. 1 month to 3 weeks: 40%. 3 weeks to 1 week: 70%. Within the last week: 90%. Early departure: 100% of the booking value. Unused rooms, no-shows, late arrival, early departure, and missed meals will be charged according to the booking.

Bed & breakfast

Prefer breakfast only? Then we deduct €28 per person per day from the half-board price.

Payment

You can pay in cash (euros), EC card, Visa, and Mastercard.

“Are the Zillertal and Tux Valley the same?
Yes. And no. Strictly speaking, the Tux Valley is a side valley of the Zillertal. In the town of Mayrhofen, the Tux Valley branches off from the Zillertal. Still: we belong together.

How high is Hotel Eden located? What clothes should I pack?
Our hotel is located at 1,360 meters above sea level. Because of this altitude, it can even snow overnight at Easter or in October. In summer, you can enjoy pleasantly cool nights thanks to the elevation. Please also remember to bring enough sunscreen with a high protection factor—the sun in the mountains is particularly strong. Packing tip: layered clothing is ideal! Even in summer, you should bring warm clothing for mornings and evenings.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in: from 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: until 10:00 a.m.
You are welcome to store your luggage with us earlier or leave it after check-out—just let us know!

What cancellation policies apply?

Up to 1 month before arrival: free cancellation
1 month to 3 weeks before arrival: 40% of accommodation costs
3 weeks to 1 week before arrival: 70% of accommodation costs
Within the last week before arrival: 90% of accommodation costs
No-show or early departure: 100% of costs

Can I travel without a car?
Of course! Hotel Eden is excellently connected to public transport. More information about arrival is available here:

Do I need snow chains in winter?
The Tuxer main road from Mayrhofen to Hintertux is open all year and well maintained. However, snow or ice conditions may require snow chains. We are happy to inform you about road conditions by phone. Webcams of the road are also available.

Is there free parking?
Yes! Parking is free of charge. We have sufficient parking spaces directly at the hotel. In winter, the parking area is cleared and gritted.

Yes. We deduct €25 per person per day from the half-board price.

I don’t have mountain equipment. What now?
No problem! You can borrow for free:

Where can I rent ski and snowboard equipment?

At the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier

We recommend renting equipment the day before your first ski day.

Is there really 100% snow reliability?
Yes! The Hintertux Glacier is the ski area with the most opening days in Austria (October–July) and offers guaranteed snow conditions.

With the Zillertal Superskipass you have access to 4 ski areas with 535 km of slopes:

Yes! A 14 km cross-country trail starts directly behind the hotel, with classic and skating tracks.

Can beginners join guided hikes?
Yes! We offer guided hikes 3 times a week in different difficulty levels. As a partner of the High Mountain Nature Park Zillertal Alps, you can also join free guided tours.
