Do you want to discover all of Tyrol by bike? That is also possible. Here you can find everything you need to know about the “Bikeschaukel Tirol” (Tyrol Mountain Bike Safari) that crossing the entire country for more than 780 km. Do you love adrenalin? Then the single tracks in Zillertal are perfect for you.
Biking with electric tailwind
Higher. Further. And a little bit faster. Whoever gets onto an e-bike will experience the fascination of mountain biking in a new way. The small electric motor is your extra power boost. In other words: the power of your legs can deliver more kilometres. Many of our bike partners also rent e-bikes. Our recommendation: Bike & Hike. Take an e-bike for the first stretch of the route, so you have enough strength and energy for hiking up to the peak on foot.

For road cycling & gravel fans

Ride through the Tux Valley from Mayrhofen all the way up to the glacier cable car valley station in Hintertux—rolling on asphalt with stunning mountain scenery on both sides. The Zillertal is a road cycling region for ambitious riders: if you want more, take on the Zillertal High Alpine Road with 58 kilometres, 1,880 metres of elevation gain, and gradients of up to 11%, reaching 2,020 metres above sea level. And if you’re out on a gravel bike, countless gravel paths and forest roads in the Tux valley are waiting to be explored.
