Guided Hikes in the Region

Explore the Zillertal Valley with the Erler family

We know the mountains of the Zillertal Valley inside out. For us, it is a real pleasure to be able to share our passion for this region we are proud to call home with guests staying at the Hotel Eden. That is why we offer regular guided walks and hikes starting at the hotel and leading to some of the most spectacular natural highlights in the valley. Qualified guide Alexander Erler accompanies guests several times a week into the mountains or onto the Hintertux Glacier for a day of skiing in Austria's only ski resort open 365 days a year.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter

Here in the Zillertal Valley, every season has its own unique charm. Hiking is one of the few activities which can be practised in spring, summer, autumn and winter. So no matter when you come to stay with us, don't forget to pack your hiking boots! Blooming meadows in spring, crystal-clear lakes in summer, golden leaves in autumn and snowshoe trails in winter. Hotel owner Alexander Erler and his son Patrick know all the best hikes for each season. All you have to do is follow their footsteps!

Guided walks and hikes are offered leaving from the hotel. Discover the Zillertal Valley on foot and explore many of the hidden trails and spectacular views known only to locals.

"We don't have a fixed weekly programme. Instead, we like to offer our guests a made-to-measure hiking schedule adapted to match the fitness levels and interests of those staying at our hotel. We make sure that we offer walks and hikes for all ages and abilities," explains hotel owner Alexander Erler.

365 days a year

The Hotel Eden in the Zillertal Valley is just 5 kilometres from the Hintertux Glacier, home to the only ski resort in Austria open 365 days a year. Hotel owner Alexander Erler will be happy to accompany skiers and boarders who simply can't get enough of the white stuff up to 3,000 metres above sea level where top pistes and warm sunshine await. Ski days at the Hotel Eden are held up to three days a week throughout the year.

Popular alternative activities away from the marked slopes include ski touring and snowshoe hiking. Both are a great way to experience the beauty and peace of the mountains.

All equipment required for ski touring and snowshoeing can be hired from the Tuxer Sporthaus and Sport Nenner. We will be happy to organise equipment hire for you. Simply speak to a member of staff.
